Well, I'm back home safe and sound. I'm very happy to be home. I have a few final pictures of my last few days that I wanted to share. Here they are.
First, this video was from my last field trip but I couldn't upload it in Yemen because it was too big, so here you go. I wanted to share it particularly for Woody because I was thinking of him every time we had to drive through crazy wadis and muddy roads. He would have had a lot of fun in Yemen.
Here are some shots from shopping in the market in the Old City.

This is my friend Heather, who I think I've mentioned in a few blog entries.

I went back to visit Mohamed and his son Ali a couple of times while I was there.

Smoking Shisha with Heather's husband Abdulla.

The Saila (which means flood plain or flood way). The Saila in Sana'a is actually a road, but it fills with water when it rains a lot. I've heard that there have been times that cars have been carried down it. On the first night of Ramadan when Daniel and I went walking around it had rained a lot, but the cars were still driving down the Saila through the two feet or so of water.
Buying Jambias for the men in my life.
Bread-maker.
Well, that's my trip to Yemen more or less. I hope you all have enjoyed the blog. I'm curious who all have been reading. If you get a change, leave a comment on this entry and say hi so I know who's been following my adventure!
All the best and Ramadan Kareem!
